Call to Order:
The Taft College Campus Safety & Security meeting was called to order at 9:11 a.m.
Minutes – October 18, 2024:
The minutes for the October 18th meeting were not reviewed.
Campus Crime Log:
Kevin Altenhofel provided an overview of the Taft College Crime Log for the past 60 days. Kevin and Heather del Rosario informed the committee that they are in the process of establishing a Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) to support decision-making regarding campus safety and the well-being of the surrounding community. The committee discussed strategies for compiling and sharing relevant information across various departments on campus. Kevin mentioned his exploration of Maxient, a software solution that facilitates the management of student conduct and well-being records, which could be accessed by multiple departments to ensure compliance with campus policies and decisions. Heather noted that funding is available to support the purchase of this software.
Workplace Violence Incidents:
Kevin Altenhofel reported that no incidents have occurred since the last meeting.
Campus Safety Application:
An update will be provided at the meeting scheduled for January.
Active Shooter Training:
Training is scheduled during January in-service.
