Action Items 

Approval of the Minutes

New Business
• Committee Charter
The committee reviewed all Areas of Focus on the current CTE Committee Charter. Recommendations were made to simplify and focus on the primary functions the committee is currently involved with. Committee members will research other charters and bring back verbiage recommendations to the next meeting for consideration. 

Information Items/Updates

• Workforce Workgroup and Developmental Services Master Plan Update
Kelly shared a one-year work plan was completed, which includes feedback from industry on what types of trainings are needed. TC has collaborated with KRC on non-credit certificates to support training needs to become a job coach and direct services provider. The DS certificates were submitted with the goal to offer three non-credit courses, open entry/open exit for enhanced funding. Minimum qualifications to teach-must be an Independent Facilitator. The DS lead will run the Advisory Committee and lead program review. 

• OSH
Devin shared an extra duty request to update OSH CORs was sent out.

• Recommendations from the Allied Health Advisory Committee:

o Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
Devin shared dual enrollment opportunities with TUHS and KC Fire Department are being explored.

o Phlebotomy

o Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

o Certified Nursing Assistant
Devin shared this consists of one class.

o Speech Language Pathology Aide/Assistant
Devin Shared this has been submitted to curriculum for approval.

• Program Updates:

o Nursing
Devin shared an extra duty request to create nursing curriculum was sent out.

o Paramedic
Next steps is to post one full time director position, for Allied Health, that would oversee EMT/EMR, Medical Assistant, and Paramedic programs. 

o Medical Assistant
Goal is to begin in fall 2025.
