Fee and Disbursement Schedules
As approved by the California state legislature, all registering Taft College students will be required to pay $46.00 per unit, an amount that is subject to change.
Taft College is committed to delivering financial aid refunds, keeping data secure, and providing students with clear choices. The school partners with BankMobile Disbursements to deliver financial aid refunds to students. For additional information, refer to the Refund Choices page.

CAL GRANT/SSCG
Will be disbursed once each semester as funds are available. Students must be in good academic standing status to maintain their award.
FSEOG
Checks will be disbursed once each semester as funds are available. Students must be in good academic standing status to maintain their award.
FWSP/IWP
Pay periods are the first through the end of the month with paychecks available on the 15th of the next month at the Cashier’s Desk.
PELL GRANT
Students will receive two payments per semester. The dates below are for the Financial Aid Department to send Pell Grant disbursements to the Business Services Department for processing.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Will be disbursed once each semester as funds are available. Students must be in good academic standing status to maintain their award.
PLEASE ALLOW 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS FROM THE DISBURSEMENT DATES BELOW FOR THE PROCESSING OF YOUR REFUND.

Award Eligibility
The percentage of award you are eligible for disbursement from is determined by the number of units you are enrolled for.

CAL GRANT – Grant will be disbursed once each semester, two times a year, as funds are available.
CARE GRANT – Grant will be disbursed once each semester.
CCPG (formerly known as BOGW or BOG Fee Waiver) – The California College Promise Grant waives community college enrollment fees if you’re eligible.
MERIT – Checks are processed once each semester. (Students must be enrolled full-time.)
TCSP – Checks are processed once each semester. (Students must be enrolled full-time.)
NOTE: All awards are subject to the availability of funding.
Reminder: Financial aid is intended to help students pay for educational-related expenses.
DO NOT expect to live on financial aid. It is designed as a supplement and is not
intended to meet the total cost of your education and living expenses. Effective management
of funds will help you avoid financial crises between disbursement dates.
IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE HAS A CORRECT/CURRENT ADDRESS ON FILE.
