POCR Cohorts


The POCR Cohorts consist of faculty members tasked with conducting a thorough evaluation of submitted courses. Their process involves meticulously examining each section of the POCR rubric to ensure alignment with established standards.

Cohort Duties and Responsibilities (STIPEND):


  • Maintain certification as a POCR campus by the CVC Consortium.
    1. Attend a minimum of two CVC sponsored quarterly norming sessions for reviewers.
    2. Maintain local peer online course review process and update as needed.
    3. Promote awareness of local process and benefits of aligning your course to Taft College faculty.
    4. Bring awareness to the CVC Independent Course Alignment Program.
    5. Support and assist in training for college faculty on aligning courses to the CVC Course Design Rubric.
  • Salary

    $2,103.74 stipend

  • Hourly Responsibilities
    1. Use the CVC-OEI Course Design Rubric to review course(s) assigned by POCR lead, tracking ratings, evidence to support the rating, and where evidence was found.
    2. Complete hourly tracking log with a description of tasks completed.
      1. Faculty keep track of their time using TimeClock.
  • Working Hours/salary
    • Up to 20 hours per month
    • Appropriate Hourly Overload Rate
  • Qualifications
    • Willingness to complete @ONE POCR Course.
    • Desired Qualifications
      • Aligned a course to CVC-OEI Course Design Rubric
  • Selection
    • Faculty members who are interested in this extra duty assignment can submit a brief statement of interest addressing how they meet the qualifications to Dr. Leslie Minor, Vice President of Instruction.
