Meeting called to order @1:17 p.m. V. Jacobi suggested re-organizing items on the Agenda. On a motion by S. Eveland, seconded by M. Mayfield, and unanimously approved, the items were re-organized.

2. Local General Education Pattern - Fall 2024

On a motion by B. Devine, seconded by S. Eveland, and unanimously carried by all, the revised Local Gen. Ed. Pattern was approved.

VII. DISCUSSION ITEMS

1. Revised AP 4020 Program Curriculum Development

V Jacobi shared revisions made to AP 4020. Among said revisions was the addition of “Bachelor Degree” to the list of Taft College programs. The curriculum review process was updated to include approving Ext. Lab, Discipline, & SLOs. This item will be voted upon in the April 2024 C & GE meeting.

 

2. Revised AP 4100 Graduation Requirements for Degrees and Certificates

The group discussed revisions made to AP 4100. Revised graduation requirements now include a Bachelor degree option. The GE requirements section was updated to include “ethnic studies, oral communication, written communication and mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning”. Any mention of “quarter-units” has been removed. This item will be voted upon in the April 2024 C & GE meeting.

 

3. Catalog Rights

Catalog rights were briefly discussed. Potential issues arise when courses change acronyms/titles. Catalog rights begin the summer after High School graduation. A broader discussion will be had at a future meeting.
