The Office of Administrative Services is responsible for the following areas (click each option to learn more).

• Bookstore and Print Shop
  Books, supplies, clothing, and more! The bookstore is also responsible for campus receiving and shipping, the mailroom, and the print shop. Learn more:  Bookstore and Print Shop link.
• Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations

  The primary goal of Taft College’s Facilities, Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation Department is to provide safe, user-friendly, and accessible facilities for the students, faculty, staff, and community members of Taft College. Learn more:  Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations Link 

• Fiscal Services

  Fiscal Services focuses on budget creation and monitoring, accounts receivable and payable, collections, revenue control, and reporting both to outside agencies and internal management units. Learn more: Fiscal Services Link

• Food Services-Cougar Cafe

  Our Cougar Café, located in our Student Center, is your go-to location for a large variety of drinks, meals, and snacks. Learn more: Food Services-Cougar Cafe Link

Vendor Bidding and Contracts

Taft College solicits Invitations to Bid, Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Quick Quotes, or other formal methods of procurement for contracts exceeding bid limits using PlanetBids. Interested vendors must register on PlanetBids for submission. To register, please click on the PlanetBids Vendor Portal below and click on "Register" from the PlanetBids log-in page.

Vendors

If you or your company received a request to do business with Taft College, please follow the steps below to complete the Vendor process. 

1. Send an e-mail to Jessica White, Cashier II, at [email protected] requesting a vendor ID number. 
2. Include the name of the Taft College employee that is requesting you to become a vendor so they can be notified once you're assigned a vendor ID number.
3. Attach a copy of the business' W-9 and include the name of the business, mailing address and contact information.

The Vice President of Administrative Services

 

Mike Giacomini CPA, MBA

Mike has 30 years of experience working in audit, finance, and college operations; with 20 of those years in education as a Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and College President in different college systems, including the last six with community colleges.

Mike received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Chico, a Masters in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.
