Services and Facilities


The Office of Administrative Services is responsible for the following areas (click each option to learn more).

Vendor Bidding and Contracts

Taft College solicits Invitations to Bid, Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Quick Quotes, or other formal methods of procurement for contracts exceeding bid limits using PlanetBids. Interested vendors must register on PlanetBids for submission. To register, please click on the PlanetBids Vendor Portal below and click on "Register" from the PlanetBids log-in page.

 
 
Vendors

If you or your company received a request to do business with Taft College, please follow the steps below to complete the Vendor process. 

  1. Send an e-mail to Jessica White, Cashier II, at [email protected] requesting a vendor ID number. 
  2. Include the name of the Taft College employee that is requesting you to become a vendor so they can be notified once you're assigned a vendor ID number.
  3. Attach a copy of the business' W-9 and include the name of the business, mailing address and contact information.

The Vice President of Administrative Services

Since October 2022, Dr. Todd Hampton has proudly served as Taft College Vice President of Administrative Services and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Dr. Hampton is responsible for the West Kern Community College District (WKCCD)/Taft College budget, business office activities and procurement, Cougar Café and dining hall, textbook distribution and retail sales, and construction and maintenance of Taft College facilities.

As a parent, Todd has experienced the great joy of his adult children’s academic accomplishments. In fact, his daughter earned her Master of Education from University of San Diego, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz. His son earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theater with a concentration in Lighting Design from University of California, Santa Barbara. Wearing multiple leadership hats on the Taft College campus every day, Dr. Hampton is highly motivated to help facilitate the academic success of our students, knowing firsthand the pride their families and friends experience while attending our commencement ceremony in May. 

Most recently, Dr. Todd Hampton served as Vice President of Business and Administrative Services at Diablo Valley College for three years. Prior to that, Todd held the position of Interim Executive Director of Business Services at Pasadena City College for 18 months. Other Pasadena City College roles included Interim Executive Director of Facilities and Construction Services for another 18 months. As an Adjunct Instructor, he has taught Computer Networking at College of the Canyons, as well as for the Business and Counseling departments at Pasadena City College.

Dr. Hampton earned his Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from California State University, Northridge. He graduated from the University of La Verne with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management and Leadership. He completed his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management Information Systems from Bellevue University, after earning an Associate of Arts (AA) in Social Sciences at College of the Canyons.
